Hotel was great value, we truly enjoyed this place.
Whole place was fairly clean with EXCEPTIONAL views; beautiful location in the panoramic restaurant. Location: the hotel was close enough to the mountains, the centre of Belmonte and the nature and countryside. Plus, we stayed a 10-15 minute walking distance from Belmonte Calvario Chapel.

The hotel was well-maintained and fairly clean. the views to the town of Belmonte were exceptionally good. - There was a private safe, central heating, and a work desk in my double room. - the location was excellent in the center of Belmonte. - It was near Pedro Alvares Cabral, the panoramic restaurant, and the nature and countryside.

Staff very helpful and offered choice of rooms when I arrived with ankle in plaster! En route to Algarve so excellent overnight stay. Restaurant very good with regional cuisine and very friendly, helpful staff.
Being on crutches, I tried to use disabled ramp up into the hotel but found it far too steep!!

Comfortable room with all the essentials and super clean. Great location, just a short stroll to both downtown and the beautiful Serra De Estrella mountains. Plus, you can easily walk downhill to another cool spot! 🌄

The owner and his son are the kindest, most helpful staff you will ever meet at a hotel. They are special people. The view from our balcony was stunning. Nearby Belmonte is special and the glacial valley in the park is a must if you can get over the scarey road. The hotel was fairly empty so at times we had a private pool and the tennis court was always available. The grounds are lovely as they are very well kept.

Location in Belmonte and easy access to surrounding countryside; extremely relaxing with beautiful view and balcony; also outdoor swimming pool although not large was big enough for a refreshing treat and uncommon for other Portugal hotels we stayed in. Dinner at the hotel was excellent and of restaurant quality. Price was very reasonable although probably due to being in the countryside near Guarda and off-season.
Breakfast was a disappointingly small buffet offering especially given the excellent dinner that we had eaten at the hotel the night before.

We use the Belsol in the summer for overnight stays when we drive from the U.K. to the Algarve and on our return journey. The hotel is very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere and the staff are very helpful and unobtrusive. The swimming pool is also very welcome after a long days drive.
We have eaten at the Hotel everytime we have stayed there and we have never had a bad meal. But it would be a good idea if they changed some of the dishes on their menu every so often as there has not been any change in the last few years.

Lovely setting. Nice pool. Friendly staff.
They're a little behind the times - the hotel computer is very old, and there is no printer. When I called the car rental company, they charged me for the call.
